Career Notes:

Despite running four marathons under 2:06:40, Eric Ndiema is still seeking his first career win. In his debut marathon in Amsterdam, Ndiema finished third in 2:06:07. Since that time he has made the podium in two additional marathons: Eindhoven and Paris. His fastest half marathon was recorded at the 2010 City-Pier-City Half Marathon, where Ndiema placed fourth in 59:57. He has run five half marathons under 1:02:00, including running 1:00:20 for second place at the 2011 Milan Half Marathon.

Personal Notes:

Ndiema trains in Iten and Eldoret, and became a runner when he was in school and realized he had talent. He is affiliated with Gianni Demadonna’s group. For his Boston debut, Ndiema says, “It’s an honor to have the chance to compete and I hope to prove my value to the race.”
